| Rob: Who are some of your favourite bands out there doing this stoner thing...you know, maybe some bands that you all like that you have played with on the road or just in general...
Ken: Even though they are no longer together, Kyuss was it. We did a show with them in 1994 and it was so heavy. We are into so many bands, like, Gov`t Mule, Z.Z. Top, Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower (he played a heavy show in Buffalo a couple of weeks ago...see him if you can!). Also, stuff like Alabama Thunderpussy, Motorhead and so on...
Rob: The new re-released/re-mastered Spacejumbofudge sounds great...I haven`t heard the original...how do you think your music has changed since you guys cut that record...like how have you developed as a band, and as people....
Ken: I think our newer music is much friendlier. We are not as angry as we were back then. Actually..no...we still are but in a more mellower way. We`ve become way better players and our tone is a lot better.
Rob: Do you guys like beer...weed.???..what do you like to do if any and where is the cut off line???
Ken: We love beer, weed, valium, but like Jimi once said - "It`s nice to get high but you must use common sense." And we do. At times.
Rob: What is in the future for the Sons...records, tours???
Ken: We are going to tour most of Europe in September and October. We have a handful of new tracks together and we are looking for a solid drummer once again.
Rob: Some individual influences....for instance, there isn`t a day that goes by where I don`t wake up and think of Jimi Hendrix and Evel Kenivel...hehehe...
Ken: My main influences would be Hendrix, Trower, Albert King and grass. Frank`s would be Lemmy, Cliff Burton, Geezer and grass.
Rob: Anything you would like to say to the community members @StonerRock.com???
Ken: remember - spread the gospel and beware of perpetrators! |
