Ever listen to a disc by a band you know absolutely fuck-all about and wind up being completely and utterly blown away by what you hear? As if the band knew exactly what you liked, and delivered just that? Well, for me, Greenmachine�s The Archives of Rotten Blues falls into that category. From the first listen, it destroys. The basis of their sound is rock and there�s a great sense of groove to the songs, even on the full-on doom tracks. The end result is hardcore doom rock, like an unholy merger of Dozer, Entombed, and Electric Wizard, with raspy, barking vocals.
