Stephane Vigeant is the hardest working man in Montreal. The guitarist of both Floating Widget and Madking Ludwig has popped up again in Karmadoza. Stylistically, Karmadoza falls in neatly between the more traditional stoner grooves of Floating Widget and the more ethereal, proggy Madking Ludwig. What struck me first was the insanely cool tone of the guitars. Vigeant and Francois Legendre have a molasses thick sound, and it contrasts well with the powerful, melodic vocals of singer Vicky Martel. As with Floating Widget and Madking Ludwig, you�re getting more than the ordinary with Karmadoza. Worth checking out if you�re in the mood to expand your horizons.
