Accolades for
The Eclectic Measure (Yellow)

The music on The Eclectic Measure consists of a variety of different elements from numerous genres. When I first listened to the disc, I heard an indie, neo-psych thing going on similar to the band Comets on Fire with a little less of a punk influence. The more that I listen to the album, the more prog I hear. Theres loads of mellotron on here. At times they seem to be channeling the spirit of nglagrd, a band they probably havent even heard. Theres also quite a nice jazz element to the music brought on by the liberal sax and clarinet involvement.
