You gotta hand it to Jadd and Aaron of MeteorCity. Not only did they kick a whole genre off with the release of the seminal "Welcome to MeteorCity" compilation, but they are running one hell of a label. They know how to pick 'em...

Electric Basement
With the loose exhaust of Motorpsycho (remember them?) and the production values of grungy Hendrix (where the guitars are nasty and the drums are distant and atmospheric and the bass is got some serious ass cheeks goin'), we have Blind Dog.

Metal Nightmare
Yet another new Swedish stoner rock band. When I saw the bio tossing around names like PINK FLOYD and SPIRIT CARAVAN, I became pretty skeptical. Those are some pretty hard comparisons to live up to! But BLIND DOG do their best to do so...

It was only in late 2000 that I saw in a Metorcity newsletter that Blind dog would release their first full lenght record the next year. And I got this record in my hands. The first thing that I can say is that I'm not disappointed.
