Wow, these guys really rocks!!! Generous Marias from Sweden is a hard-rock band that can write beautiful songs...I can't understand why this band is not as famous as 69 Eyes or Hellacopters...The opener of this 4 tracks promo-CD is Strict Nurse, a heavy groovy song, where Generous Maria start show the world what's their way to rock...a beautiful way, indeed!
The next song is Like a Dog With a Frisbee, and once again the band is hard and supa-groovy...with a killer-chorus, really outstanding! The third song is Lack of Faith, and here the style of the band changes a bit...it's more "dark" and "doomy", but it still kicks fuckin' asses! In fact, the band is really cool and has a very own style, very different from most of the not-original-at-all craps that you can hear around. The last song is Brother Pain, something I could define hard-epic-rock...the song is very nice, and the style is about dark...but when I talk about dark moods in Generous Maria music, please don't think about Joy Division!!! :)
The dark mood of these song is something as light as breeze, and gives to the tracks a very interesting feel. Very Good! Definetively, Generous Maria is a cool band...the musician are nearly perfect, I specially loved the singer's performance...Goran Florstr�m has a voice to die for!
I hope this swedish combo could rise and become one of the most important hard-rock band, because they've the talent to do it.
