Accolades for Tight Empire
Bible of the Devil's sound is classic: Marshall stacks cranked all the way, bowel-moving bass, and tight speedball drumming. They dominate with dual guitar harmonies and relentless energy and write epic pummelers about barbiturates, Iron Maiden, killin', drinkin', and just being plain ol' scumbags. Bible of the Devil play like they are gearing up to tour with Richie Blackmore's Rainbow way back in '75. Highly recommended for fans of Thin Lizzy, Motorhead, early Aerosmith, Slade, Rainbow and AC/DC.
These guys totally bring it. Ass kicking, high energy rock n' roll (there's no other way to describe it) with a healthy dose of AC/DC, Hellacopters, and all the things that are good about uptempo, heavy rock.
The first thing that came to me upon hearing the opening song of Tight Empire was the guerilla rock stylings of Guns N Roses - when they were great. Amp Reed (Mark Hoffman) sings in a vague Bruce Dickinson-sian throaty, liquor-damaged squeal. Im hearing these little off-the-beaten-path sounds and tweaks that noodle the otherwise more standard sounding, whiskey poured over your head, punch in the face and sternum, bar-attack rock. Its clear what type of environments these guys thrive in.
