Valis music is like a stoned-out mix of Screaming Trees, Hawkwind, and Sabbath. And thats about as stoned as they come... In my book all of these influences add up to infinite credibility, cause Ive been a fan of all these bands for years. But of course, Valis goes far beyond their influences; theyve developed an individualistic and remarkably mature sound in a very short time. Spacerock heads will love Valis, but fans of Nebula or even Queens of the Stone Age will find a lot to chew on as well.

More than just a band featuring former members of Screaming Trees, Tad and Mudhoney (though very cool indeed) - VALIS is a band that, while early in its development, is sure to catch the attention of fans seeking quality rock 'n roll. Vast Active Living Intelligence System is a collection of trippy, heavy rock songs no doubt inspired by rock of the late '70s. It's a big sound that will please fans with a liking for stoner, classic or heavy alternative.
