Yes!!! Memory Bank has been accepted onto the new 2-cd comp "New Rays From A Rising Black Sun" from Dirt Culture Zine! I got a copy of this thing this weekend. Times have been tough with no practicing and questions of the feral future, but this comes like like a burst of happy light at the end of the tunnel. Dirt Culture sent me a free zine and a sticker too. Thanks to Adam Grijalva for putting all the time and effort into this comp. It's cool to see bands like Thumm on there too (from newfoundland). check them out at http://members.tripod.com/thumm/

------August 1,2001------
Martin has been in Ontario growing some organic food since the beginning of July and he expects to be back somewhere around the middle of August. We do too! The remainder of the band has had a couple of jams with SB, whom is being introduced to a new music front. I myself, SB, am having a good time with this. Haha our name is either Sean Barry and the Lotus Eaters, or just the Lotus Eaters. Maybe when Martin comes back he can play a couple of songs with us. We have some really cool ideas. Out, SB

Setbacks in mixing of new album '8'... Martin's computer won't run Cubase. so I don't know what's going to happen with that. hopefully we can get tech support soon and start on that. Ganjagator and Memory Bank are mixed and finalized....
Memory Bank might be on a limited edition comp comin out sometime this summer from Arizona. sending in the CD very shortly. more news as we hear it.....

martin was skateboarding in burnside yesterday and fell and broke his right collarbone. at least he was stoned at the time. the hospital visit was fun, but they wouldn't sell any of the x-rays. this happened right after he drove his parents to the airport, leaving him home alone and helpless. he's ok tho, not a lot of pain. he hopes to be able to play bass soon again, and spen is complaining that he wants to jam. call or email martin (in contact info) to express your sympathy. boo hoo.
in other news, we are trying out the idea of a singer with Seth from Burdocks fame, strange eh? In any case the vocals will be minimal with frequent instrumental songs and long jams. should be interesting.

Feral rocked Acadia at the Battle of the Bands wednesday night. The sound was fat and fuzzy, enveloping like a blanket. The sound was amazing. There was a pretty good turn out of people, thanks to all that made the trip from Halifax to be here and support us, especially brad, who yelled "OH MY GOD!!!" in the middle of Orange Square Outline. There were various cover bands, and a few original bands. FE rocked em out with the 50 FT speakers and amplifiers. It turned out to be a swell evening.
Also big news, FE is going to be having their mp3's at www.mp3.com/feralelysium now, so look out for new songs like Ganjagator. Go see :-)

Feral Elysium's website is now hosted at Stonerrock.com, wahooo!!
------January 6th, 2001------

FE played an impromptu gig at Matt Baker's house (way the hell out in East Jedore!!) on new year's eve and rocked the house.
We did versions of Ganjagator, Memory Bank, Orange Square Outline and Tall Doors.
Also heard was the Crazy Jazz Jam Session featuring Matt from Joke's Over on drums, Terry Flick on guitar, Jeff Mosher on sax, Martin on bass, and Seanbarry on didjeridoo. The vibe was stellar and a fun time was had by all.
Spent midnight in the bathroom tokin' the famous millenium joint with all good friends.
Thanks everyone for being an amazing part of our lives!

The new album "8" is now recorded and in the mixing stages. It will also contain solo tracks by each member of the band along with a spontaneous jam - adding up to 8 tracks.... .. a coincidence? ?? ??
? actually, yes, yes it is!
