Accolades for High Crimes and Misdemeanor
The five-piece falls somewhere between early Kiss and AC/DC, with touches of Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf. I tend to think of music like this as Camaro Rock driving around in a souped-up muscle car, listening to tracks like News for You or Hate Your Face is damn near obligatory. With the sultry singing of Vera Olofsson, the classic rock riffs from guitarists Sara Fredriksson and Jenny Mllberg, and the solid rhythm section of Jenny Lindahl (bass) and Mia Mllberg (drums), youll want to put a fresh coat of wax on the Camaro, crank this album, and let the good times roll. It's enough to convince me its 1978.
Misdemeanor have their roots in bands like Black Sabbath and Kyuss, but have this time taken a step towards the rocknroll sound of KISS, AC/DC and Queens of the Stone Age.
