Accolades for Split CD
Emerging from the dirty south of Atlanta, Georgia, Leechmilk unleash a lumbering wall of sound that pins you down while blood-curdling, tormented howlings drag you thropugh the deepest pits of heaviness. Their six tracks a of brutal sickness will turn Sludge/Doom freaks on their collective ears. Heavy medication and general discomfort suggested but not required. Ohio's own Sofa King Killer share the split with their own brand of "Southern Salvation" (even if they are from the Midwest). These Doom Hoods waste no time in unleashing seven tracks of hate-filled Crust/Boogie.
Leechmilk jumps right in (they are the first band on the CD) with their heavy hardcore sounds that remind me of the Eyehategod stuff, or Bongzilla. Hardcore doom riffs with screaming over the top vocals. High energy and hardcore to the hilt. Tight stop and go changes and tons of fuzz and feedback... [Sofa King Killer's] stuff is a hell of a lot more bluesy/riffy with more 70's groove going on, but still hardcore vocals and still fitting right in with the sounds of Leechmilk. This stuff reminds me more of Sour Vein or Weedeater, vocally anyhow. The music is more groove oriented and kind of reminds me of Cutthroats9 or Killdozer.
