If you hear this album, you maybe would think that this is a re-release from the deepest seventies, but its from 2003. Luciles Grotesque Diary consists mainly of older songs from Mandra Gora Lightshow Society which were re-recorded or have been forgotten. I love these guys. Theyve got all kinds of sounds in their songs and for me its like a best of Mandra Gora Lightshow Society. But be careful, this album is pure dynamite if youre on drugs. Mandra Gora Lightshow Society reminds me a lot of the early Pink Floyd and for sure Hawkwind. If I didn't know these guys I would say that this music is not from this planet. If you like it psychedelic, this is definitely something for you. I highly recommend this album...really trippin stuff!!!!

This is the brand new release by Mandra Gora Lightshow Society. Most of the material on this CD has been previously released on vinyl only and rare compilations. There are a couple of tracks from the archives as well! A fantastic compilation CD and a must have if you are a fan of the band.

Musically I love these guys- it's got a lot going on. On top of the basic rock and roll formula guitar bass drums, there is keyboards and weird space effects. Most of the tones sound vintage/classic, very 60's. Imagine a time when The Electric Prunes and the Doors were just getting to be known, the Mandra Gora Lightshow Society could be a time capsule from this place in time for certain. Imagine Pink Floyd's Meddle or Wish You Were Here. That same sort of upbeat to space sort of blend of song to song. Fans of psychedelia in general should check out the Mandra Gora Lightshow Society. Serious depth in these songs and movements. Lots of parts and just trippy music done well. Do yourself a favor and get this CD. It's not just your garden variety paint by number space rock band.
