New Tork Soundtracks is a fascinating remix album that reveals a fairly inverted view at the trio�s languid noise dynamism, with support from some of the most respected names in the current experimental scene. Loren Mazzacane Conners� remix of �Giant Me on the Other Side� offers muted fuzz tones sculpted down to their most skeletal remains. Calla turns �Where Am I� into a haunting post rock opus with repeated loops of cello, timpani and minimal drones and squiggles all magnificently detailing a gentle sound dream of blurred tones that swell to a gripping conclusion. A surprisingly diverse transcontinental collaboration, and there isn�t even one noise crescendo.
