Awesome collector's item, this 7" in heavy vinyl... the split regards the "deans"
Half Man, though their debut is fresh off the press, and their disciples Mothercake.
The masters bring out two heavy-psych tracks fairly far from the typical blues
frequencies of their debut CD, but absolutely killers!!! The fact that they
are now giving more room to their psychedelic side will surely open more doors
to what could be considered as the debut group of the year!
Mothercake are a good band, but demonstrate a lack of personality in front of
his Majesty Half Man... they appear much more heavy, and the impact isn't negative
at all, but surely less significant.
There's a clean loss of balance between the two sides... to you the decision
if the exceptional side A counts more than the mediocre side B.
