From the Spiritual Beggars area of Halmstad, Sweden arrives this band with their debut album. The album was actually recorded 1999 but it wasn't released until recently by MeteorCity. Blind Dog is a 3-piece band that has been around for a few years with a appearance on the Roadrunner compilation Burn One Up before they started the recordings at Berno Paulssons studio in Malmoe(south Sweden) where the Beggars also served their time. The Last Adventures.. have a interesting concept, armed with a fuzzed out sound added with harmonica, percussions and hammond the band delivers quite a stunning record. Openers Thundergroove,10,000 reasons have a intense groove added with doomy overtones the same with Wish I knew which side I´m on and Back where I´ve always been. Blend is a more slow psyched out epic emotional number, Beyond my reach have more vintage heavyblues based sound. When I´m finally gone have a more early Jethro Tull vibe. A slow melancholic progressive number. Feels like my mind is another memorable moment a slow doomy fuzzed out piece. The last adventures.. offers a wide spectrum. The early 70s roots is right there on the spot Jethro Tull is mentioned, early Sabbath also Leafhound and Gravy Train is fitting in here along with early MonsterMagnet, Trouble and Spirit Caravan also adds the description of this band. A highly recommended album.
