Accolades for Cowboys and Engines
It took a couple times listening to this disc to get a hold of Thick. Basically they are a modern-day prog rock, stoner anomaly. The Texan trio face off against current trends to expand the paved highway of ZZ Top meets Metallica in a reefer haze. Between country picking, droning guitars and dense undertones as well as psychedelic layering the band pull off an interesting set.
