sounds like I need to get onto "Barry" and "The Mick"

Westworld. like to think i'm sort of following it but ffs just when I get a handle on a scene about 3 minutes in they then whip the rug out and segue to 30 years in the fucken future. You cunts. I'm of middling intelligence and do not have a phD in bloody TV. Hardly helping themsleves with the overwrought cryptic bollox dialogue either "the game is the centre and the centre is the game look backward not forward to find the centre of Ford" oh fuck off

We're caught up now and I think three episodes are left, but goddamn, this season is hard to follow. It just gets more convoluted with each episode.

Its frustrating that a show that looks this good  is such an overwritten mess. I wasn't sure if I wanted to bother with the second season but fell alseep twice during the first  couple of  episodes. Gave up,

Just finished Barry tonight. Fucking great show! Everyone talks about Henry Winkler, but the real star was Bill Hader. He was exceptional in his various moods and depictions throughout. I guess that shouldn't have been a surprise, as he was probably the greatest pure sketch performer on SNL since Phil Hartman. It ended with a good cliffhanger. I'm really looking forward to how they explain what happened that last evening.

Also really happy with how The Americans wrapped up. A muted finale, but a completely credible end to the Jennings' time in the USA. Selfishly I'd like spin-off (The Russians?) of what happens in the USSR after 1987, which I think would be fantastic, but an all subtitled series would never fly on FX. The last episode is entitled 'START' and that treaty wasn't signed until 1991, so there is a significant time gap they could cover there.

I liked the ending of the Americans as well. I had my doubts if they could wrap it up in just two or three episodes but the scene in the garage was just a perfect way to do it. I always preferred when the show was more family drama than spy story which it became more and more over the last couple of seasons,

We rewatched the first season of Hap and Leonard last week because Mike couldnt remember any of it. We started season two and after one episode, I think Ive figured out the storyline. I hope Im wrong because I do like the show save for most of those flashbacks which seem to pop up too often and go on too long.

Excellent. Bateman and Linney give some strong performances in that show.

PREACHER returns tonight!

Seth Rogen was on Colbert Friday. Watch it if you can. He was there for three segments, which almost never happens.
