This is a refreshing change from the 'norm' if you know what I mean. Argonaut are heavy, melodic and don't sound like every other band trying to sound like Kyuss or Fu Manchu...these cats mix up their own style with classic rock and driving heavy influences like Sabbath and so forth. The thing I like most about these guys is that even though most of this CD is doom tinged, there is a lot of feelings and a great pop sense behind it. The music will easily having you banging your head to the beat within moments. These guys remind me of everything from Orange Goblins driving stomp to a band off of the High Beam roster. It's heavy, catchy and just damn good. Tons of changes and never a dull moment, Argonaut just plain rocks period.

I first saw these guys when they opened for Spirit Caravan in Tacoma. They blew everyone away, including Wino who rushed up to the stage after their set to congratulate them. Rob's right, they rock, but in ways you're not used to hearing.
